Now we see things imperfectly as in a cloudy mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely (1 Corinthians 13:14).
I love taking hot showers. Once I’m in there it’s hard to want to step out into the cold air, so I tend to wait until there’s no more hot water left. The problem is that I get out, and I have to wait forever to start getting ready because the mirror has become foggy from the steam. I can see my reflection, but I can’t really make out any details about my face or hair. What a difference it is trying to put makeup on in a mirror that is crystal clear versus one that is cloudy from the steam! What we see when we look at ourselves isn’t accurate. It isn’t clear. We see the flaws, both inside and out. Look closely at this scripture. It clearly tells us that what we see with our own eyes is imperfect just like what we see when we look through a cloudy mirror. God sees us clearly and perfectly.
The only way to see the perfection God sees is through his son, Jesus Christ. We cannot attain perfection on our own. Jesus is the only perfection that exists, and he has made himself so easily attainable. All you have to do is ask him to be your savior. Once you ask, he will come to you, and you will have attained perfection in all ways. You are made perfect by him and through him. HE is attainable perfection.
